This is a set of weather icons I originally created for one of my Samurize configs. They are numbered to be compliant with the weather.com weather service and partially compliant with the Yahoo! Weather service and can be used with Rainmeter skins or Samurize configs (and possibly other programs) that use one of these services. Of course you can also use them for other weather-related things.
The set includes six variations, as png (128x128 px) and svg.
Please note that these icons are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license. This means you are free to use these icons for whatever purposes you desire, and you can even modify them and make your own versions, as long as you credit the original author (please provide a link to this page). If you release a modified version of the icons, they must be put under the same license as the originals. The icons were created using Inkscape, and you can easily modify them with that software.
Thanks for all your comments and favs! If you use the icons in your own work please include a link to this site and drop me a note or comment so I can link you here.

Really great weather icons. Been using them on conky since long time. I love your work! I have asuggestionorrequest for an update (adding/changing new icons) according to Yahoo Weather.com Service.
Since currently exist a documentationyou maynotice that some of your icons do not correspond tothosewhich are in Yahoo condition codes. Maybe5years agowhenyou'vedone them they're in order. Currently i think an update would be a good job.
Really wishyou to consider.
Icons that need update may be:
0 currently is Tornado / your png icon show Severe Thunderstorms 1 currently is Tropical Storm / your png icon show Rain or Heavy Rain 2 currently is Hurricane / your png icon show Rain or Heavy Rain 3 OK 4 OK 5 OK 6 OK 7 OK 8 OK 9 I think needs achange, (removing twoorthreedrops). 10 OK 11 OK 12 Have not the same icon with 11 since both are showers on Yahoo Weather. 13 and 14: must change each other so 14 to be 13 and vice versa. 15 OK 16 OK 17 currently is Hail / your png icon show Severe Thunderstorms 18 It's OK, althoughprobably need anupdate placing one or two little snow. 19 OK / yahoo weather does not specifyit's a dayornight? 20 OK 21 OK / yahoo weather does not specifyit's a dayornight? 22 currently is Smoky / your png icon show Sunny dust 23 OK 24 OK 25 ?.png / Need a cold thermometer icon 26 OK 27 OK 28 OK 29 OK 30 OK 31 OK / You canput twoor three smallerstars 32 OK 33 OK 34 OK 35 currently is mixed rain and hail / your png icon show Severe Thunderstorms 36 OK / but real icon must be a thermometer Hot icon but don't mind too much this one. 37 OK 38 & 39 have same icon Scattered Thunderstorms on Yahoo Weather 40 OK 41 currently is Heavy Snow / your png icon show less sun less snow, less cloud (i think even this one need an update) 42 OK 43 OK 44 currently is Partly Cloudy / your png icon show as 3200 (let say no connection or error). 45 currently is thundershowers / your png icon show as partially rain at night. 46 currently Snow Showers / your png icon show the same butdoes not specify thenight. 47 OK 3200 OK
As you cansee... Thisfantasticpackageof icons,it would beevenmore meaningfulwithanupdate. I would appreciate a lot an update. Thank you very much for the wonderful Yahoo weather icons.
the icons were originally numbered to confirm with the icon codes of weather.com. Those don't completely match the Yahoo standard apparently.
Currently I have no interest in/time for doing an overhaul of the icons, especially since it is almost exclusively a renaming job. The icons are licensed under Creative Commons, so you are welcome to make any changes you want and upload a new version. If you do, I will link to it in the description, so people can find it. You can easily edit the icons with Inkscape if you want to do any changes.
It's not too much of a performance hit as only six out of the sixteen skins use ImageMagick and it's only the slide show (updating every nineteen seconds) and the RSS feedreader (updating once a minute) that cause any CPU usage spikes. All the other skins are using transformation matrix and/or photoshop smoke and mirrors.
If you want to include the icons in your own download instead of directing people to download them separately here, I don't have a problem with that. You already have a link to this page in your description. That's enough credit for me.
Icon 22 is for a foggy or dusty day. Icon 36 is a really hot cloudless day. You can get an overview of the meanings of all the icons here (scroll down): [link] It might be slightly different depending on what exact weather service you are using. The Yahoo codes are taken from weather.com, but I think they are not a 1:1 match and I think that there isn't really any official, freely available information about what exactly all the weather.com codes stand for.
You can, if you add credit to the source of the icons (provide a link to the deviantart page) somewhere it can be found (like the app's description). Be aware that the icons may not be used for commercial purposes. So if your app is free, but contains sponsored ads, you can't use them.
